How To Spot Fake Designer Handbags

There are so many fake designer handbags that you may not know whether the one you are buying is a fake or not. Chances are, if you are buying your handbag off of the street, you are buying a fake. Many of the street vendors in large cities will buy fakes and turn around sell them for half of the retail price of an original. A good rule of thumb to remember is, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

While the fake designer handbag might be a little hard to tell from the real thing, there are some things that you can look for to see if it is real or not. Paying special close attention to the stitching on the handbag you are wondering about will help you determine if the handbag is a cheap imitation, or the real thing. Many times the fake handbags will have messy stitching, and look as if they are made cheap and with poor quality materials.

Another thing that you should be aware of when you are looking for an original designer handbag is whether or not designer marking is authentic or not. Many times the knock off version of the handbags will not be the same, however, some of the makers of the imitations are getting pretty good at copying the real thing. However, this is a great way to tell if someone is trying to sell you a fake designer handbag or not.

The most important thing that you should take into consideration about whether or not your designer handbag is a fake or not is where you purchase it. If you purchase your handbag out of the trunk of someone’s car, chances are it is not real. However, if you are to go into a high department store and purchase your designer handbag there, you are probably going to get the real thing.

You should not support the fake designer handbag industry for many reasons, but the most important reason is because most of the imitation handbags are made in children sweat shops over seas. That means when you purchase your fake handbag, and you know what you are buying, you are supporting the child labor in different countries. Another good reason for not purchasing an imitation handbag is because they are illegal. That is good enough reason, and you should be careful when you are buying an expensive name brand handbag to make sure you are getting the real thing.

The best place for you to purchase your designer handbags and make sure they are the real thing is a department store that you trust. Most of the high end department stores will carry the handbags that are made by designer, and you can be guaranteed that you are not getting a knock off. You will want to be careful and know the difference in them if you are considering buying one from someone else. This will ensure that you do not get taken, and end up with a handbag that is not a real name brand for the best bet.
